He will be joined on the ticket by Wayne W. Calder and Mike Viscusi, both endorsed for seats on the Rotterdam Town Board. Having just taken his seat on the town board January 1st, Wayne Calder has served the Rotterdam community for over four decades. he possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in government administration and management and will be seeking his first full term on the town board in November. Mike Viscusi served successfully on the town ethics board and is an outspoken advocate on senior home care issues. He brings well over a decade of experience in management, supervision and efficiency.
Vince Romano has been endorsed to run for highway superintendent. A lifelong resident of Rotterdam and graduate of Mohonasen, Vince has over 36 years of highway experience in supervision, planning, scheduling and budgeting.
He joins Judge Kevin Mercoglan, (the second longest tenured elected official in Rotterdam) who has faithfully served in this judicial capacity for over 16 years, successfully maintaining high levels of service and performance in our local justice court despite an ever increasing case load.
Schenectady County Legislators from District # 4 Angelo Santabarbara and Anthony W. Jasenski Sr. have received the unqualified endorsement of the local Democratic committee as they seek re-election, and join Family Court Judge Mark L. Powers who will also be seeking his second term as Schenectady County Family Court Judge when these endorsements are formally made by the Schenectady County Democratic Committee.
