Harry C. Buffardi has dedicated the major portion of his adult life to public service. He is a proven administrator with the experience and knowledge to get the job done. His “no nonsense” approach to government will go a long way towards re-focusing town government on issues of importance to our residents, and finding the solutions that will allow our town to move forward.

He will be joined on the ticket by Wayne W. Calder and Mike Viscusi, both endorsed for seats on the Rotterdam Town Board. Having just taken his seat on the town board January 1st, Wayne Calder has served the Rotterdam community for over four decades. he possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in government administration and management and will be seeking his first full term on the town board in November. Mike Viscusi served successfully on the town ethics board and is an outspoken advocate on senior home care issues. He brings well over a decade of experience in management, supervision and efficiency.
Vince Romano has been endorsed to run for highway superintendent. A lifelong resident of Rotterdam and graduate of Mohonasen, Vince has over 36 years of highway experience in supervision, planning, scheduling and budgeting.

He joins Judge Kevin Mercoglan, (the second longest tenured elected official in Rotterdam) who has faithfully served in this judicial capacity for over 16 years, successfully maintaining high levels of service and performance in our local justice court despite an ever increasing case load.

Schenectady County Legislators from District # 4 Angelo Santabarbara and Anthony W. Jasenski Sr. have received the unqualified endorsement of the local Democratic committee as they seek re-election, and join Family Court Judge Mark L. Powers who will also be seeking his second term as Schenectady County Family Court Judge when these endorsements are formally made by the Schenectady County Democratic Committee.

Rotterdam Democratic Committee Chairman Tony Jasenski said he “was extremely pleased with the overwhelming committee support the candidates received throughout the process. The attributes and accomplishments of the candidates receiving endorsements are well known. Each of them possess the unique qualities and characteristics that will allow them continued success in fulfilling our public service mission, and restoring the residents of Rotterdam with the excellent levels of attention and responsiveness that they deserve and expect from their town officials.”
